Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

1. Your responsibility for font rights

You may upload, process, share, or export a font only when you own the relevant rights or have all licenses and permissions needed for those actions. A right to use a font in a document does not necessarily include the right to upload, modify, convert, redistribute, or make its glyph data public.

2. License metadata screening

FontCAD may inspect embedded license descriptions, license URLs, and OpenType embedding flags. It may reject a file when detected metadata expressly restricts the requested processing. Because font files can contain missing, incorrect, or incomplete metadata, this screening is not a legal determination or permission to use a file. You must review the actual license and obtain advice when needed.

3. Complaints

To report content that you believe infringes copyright or another intellectual-property right, email support@fontcad.com. Include:

• Your full name, contact details, and physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the protected work or right
• The FontCAD profile, URL, user, or material you want reviewed
• A good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized
• A statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act

We may request additional information before acting on an incomplete notice.

4. Review, removal, and account action

FontCAD may disable access, remove content, restrict global sharing, or suspend accounts while reviewing a complaint. We may notify the affected user and preserve relevant account, acceptance, file-hash, and transaction records as permitted or required by law. We may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

5. Counter-notices

If your content was restricted by mistake or misidentification, email support@fontcad.com with the removed material, your contact details, the basis for your objection, the legally required good-faith statements for your jurisdiction, and your signature. We may forward the counter-notice to the complainant and restore content where legally appropriate.

6. No transfer of responsibility

FontCAD's confirmations, screening, and complaint process reduce risk but do not guarantee that a font is non-infringing or licensed for a particular use. Users remain responsible for their content and exports, and FontCAD reserves all rights and defenses available under applicable law.
